As churches reach out to embrace today’s seekers, they often make costly mistakes. We’ve been there, done that. However, we learned from those mistakes, and formed Revitalizing Ministries to help others avoid them. Some of you may be planning a new program, building, and/or ministry. Now is the time to look at the big picture and shape those plans for your needs. Some may have most of the bells and whistles, but not know how to get the most out of them. Others may be experts in the digital ministries and need that extra little something to move from very good to fantastic. That is what Revitalizing Ministries does.
Pastor Richard P. Matthews
Pastor Richard P. Matthews is an ordained Elder in the New England Conference of the United Methodist Church. In the small town of Bristol, New Hampshire, he inspired teenagers to create Rock ’N Worship, which grew from eight teenagers to over a hundred in the first year, with six bands. Richard also founded the International Church Of Lund, Sweden, where he began his ministry of storytelling in 1997.
Now Richard travels throughout Europe and North America with the Living Bible Stories®. Pastor Richard did his graduate work in theatre at Northwestern University and the University of Utah. His professional theatre credentials include acting, directing, and playwriting. Richard is one of eight recipients in the last fifty years to receive the “Sam S. Schubert Playwriting Fellowship” award for his play HOSEA. He is published in Swedish and English and is the author of the “Revitalizing Worship” series which were published in Cross Currents, 2003. Pastor Richard is now the Director of Revitalizing Ministries.
